The Savile Club is a private members club located in the heart of Mayfair, London. The Club recently initiated and oversaw a programme of conservation and redecoration in several principal reception rooms. Lisa Oestreicher was commissioned to undertake architectural paint research prior to each phase of this heritage-led project.

Savile Club

The Savile Club is a Grade II* listed building constructed on the site of two early eighteenth century residences conjoined in the late nineteenth century to form one property. The Parisian architect William Oscar Bouwens van der Boijen was responsible for the design of the new interiors in an opulent Louis XV style. The property remained the private residence of Viscountess Harcourt until 1927 when it was purchased by the Savile Club.
